updated to newest java now serviio wont start

updated to the latest version of java (update 7 version55) and now when my computer reboots and tried to start serviio or try to start it manually i get this error:



anyone see this before and know how to fix?

I am having the same problem. I uninstalled the newly installed Java update 55.

I used Revo Uninstaller, and made sure all references to it were deleted.

Reinstalled update 55 and I am receiving the same error message window posted by OP.

I still can't figure this out.. I have a 64bit system.. so I have the Java update 5. I still cannot get it to work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled so many times.. There has to be a simple solution. This hasn't worked for 3 days now. :/

java can be so srewed that only system reinstalation helps. google for 'java complete remove'

I've just reinstalled Serviio again, and it still won't load. I've completely removed Java and reinstalled. I'm not sure what else to do.

Try this:

• uninstall Java and Serviio
• verify that all versions of Java have been removed by using the Java removal tool from http://www.java.com/en/download/uninstallapplet.jsp
• install the latest 64 bit (x64) version of Java from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/ ... 0261.html;
• install Serviio and test;
• install the latest 32 bit (x86) version of Java from the same site. This is not used by Serviio but is likely required by your Internet browsers;
• run Serviio and test.

If (particularly after the last step) Serviio is not working, start again but this time install the 32 bit version first - some users have reported that the order of installing matters and I can't recall which way around they did it.
