iPad apps not seeing serviio

Hi,

This is probably a remarkably stupid question, but after extensive searching I haven't been able to find a solution.

Im using an iPad 3rd gen with AVPlayerHD. I can't see serviio under the dlna/upnp screen. I've tried a couple of different apps, all with no luck. Am I missing something really simple? Serviio is set to discoverable and my TV finds it with no problems.

EDIT: I should probably mention I tried the same thing with my android (4.4.2) phone and had no luck there either.

Cheers!

This sounds like a networking issue. I am assuming your TV is hard wired to the network, while the iPad and Android are wireless. If your wireless connection is not directly onto your network, i.e. there's no firewall, private sub-network or change of IP address scheme between your device and the Serviio computer, then problems occur. You could find out the IP address your wireless devices are being assigned and try pinging them from your Serviio computer.

Most home networks have an IP address range of 192.168.0.x or 192.168.1.x. Make sure your wireless devices are on the same range. If not, you will need to make some changes to your wireless access point. Can't help there without additional information.
