1.4.1.2 upgrade crashes windows service

I just installed the update from my previous version. I noticed that my devices were not picking up Serviio, so I went to check it out. The UI becomes unresponsive when selecting devices, and attempts to start/restart the service fail with an WIndows error stating tha the service is not responding to the stop requests. This requires a reboot at which point the same issue arises. I'm a paid user and I've been using Serviio for a few years. This is the first time this has happened, so I'm assuming it's a bug in the latest release.

Update: I can't revert to the old version because the installer cannot stop the service. I'm attempting another method, but is there any reason that anyone knows of why the service would become unresponsive after load with no activity?
