Serviio doesn't recognise some movies

Hi i'm new and after reading a lot in this forum about metadata and naming conventions i can say that serviio isn't so accurate as expected.
[serviio last version on windows 7 ultimate]

I'm having problems with some movies (something like 250 on 652), here an example:
d:\Film\Into Darkness - Star Trek.avi
In IMDB the title is: Into Darkness - Star Trek (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1408101/?ref_=fn_al_tt_8 - i'm italian an this is in english but it's not a problem)
serviio doesn't recognise the movie.

Another example: naming it as Lo Hobbit - La desolazione di Smaug.avi or Lo Hobbit La desolazione di Smaug.avi (on imdb Lo Hobbit - La desolazione di Smaug) doesn't change.

I know that some files are missing the ' character, i'm adding it.

I need to separate movies in \film (for all the family) and \Movies (just for horror and scifi, my favourites).

Thanks and excuse my english.

Edit:
Corrected numbers - sorry for that, but i was querying db without excluding audio/image files

Re: Serviio doesn't recognise some movies

Serviio uses http://www.themoviedb.org, not IMDB. For your Star Trek movie, it is listed as "Star Trek Into Darkness (2013)". It's helpful to include the year as shown here as well. This helps with the many remakes that are floating out there. :)

As far as files named in other than English, I can't help there. But check the web site and see how they list it.

Actually, I just copied and pasted the first movie name you listed, and it came back "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013)". You would have to remove the colon (:), as the computer won't accept that in a file name. Give that a shot and see if it now appears.

You might also try using FileBot (http://www.filebot.net) and see if it works for Italian. :D

Re: Serviio doesn't recognise some movies

Thanks for the answer, i'll check http://www.themoviedb.org for names.

I've tried filebot but it looks like "stuck" (blocked? inactive?) when looking for movies in a folder (with only 71 files).

I will report back.

Re: Serviio doesn't recognise some movies

I've corrected first post, see notes.

Filebot works for italian, not for all movies but adjusted some.

Some others aren't recognised but they have the correct name/title as in http://www.themoviedb.org , they were fixed this way (i don't know why, maybe some developer can check):
The disk structure is:
d:\film
d:\movies
d:\cartoons
d:\series\name1
d:\series\name2
d:\series\name3

1 - removed local path from library (was d:\)
2 - added new local path in library (d:\film; d:\movies; d:\cartoons; d:\series\)

looking for fixing others
