Serviio for WHS

There has been no update for WHS since 2012 v0.6.1.0, I am using WHS v1 I know it's old but I and so many people prefer it over WHS11 because of the ease of install and recovery. I use Serviio and have disconnected Twonky Media Server because of ease of control, and functions Please consider an update for WHS and make sure it's compatible for all versions, because although I have my issues with WHS11 I may have to upgrade regardless of my preference to v1. I use Serviio on my 7 and 8.1 pc's as well as my server and prefer it over plex, Serviio also works great with XBMC-Kodi in which are on my GBox Mx2 (soon GboxQ) and Galaxy Note 8 using XMBC-Kodi and Bubble UPnP on my all of other Android devices.

I have a WHS 2011 box, and I did try later versions of Serviio on it. There were no problems with Serviio itself. It's just the WHS admin plug-in that won't work any more. Since I've never seen the plug-in working, I don't know if there's anything it had that you absolutely need.

If you are running the server headless, and are concerned about administering Serviio, you can run the console on a different computer and connect across the network. You can also use a number of apps from a phone or tablet. I use ServiiWP on my Windows phone, and it works perfectly with Serviio 1.5. If you have an Apple or Android device, there are apps for those as well. You can also just use Windows Remote Desktop to get to the WHS desktop from another Windows computer.
