Can't install serviio-1.5-win-setup.exe - Java error EXE4J

I've had the 1.4.1.2 version installed for quite a while, it worked fine.

After a Java update, it stopped working and gave me this error message at windows start-up:
No JVM could be found on your system. Please define EXE4J_JAVA_HOME to point to an installed 64 bit JDK or JRE from www.java.com.

I get the same message when I try to install the new version of Serviio. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling Java, as well as this solution: http://wincrunch.com/exe4j-java-home-no ... ur-system/

Nothing seems to work.

Any ideas?

Serviio 1.5 does not need the system Java installed anymore. The fact it still shows you this message is either:
- old version of the (console?) .exe file in the installation folder
- missing java in the new 'jre' folder inside the installation location

Try to completely remove Serviio, restart the PC and then install 1.5 again.

I am also having this problem.

Had OSX Mavericks with Serviio 1.4.1.2 and everything was working fine.

I updated to OSX Yosemite and then installed Serviio 1.5.

Now every time I try to start Serviio I get an error, "To open "Serviio Console.app" you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime."

I completely uninstalled Serviio, rebooted the machine, and then reinstalled Serviio 1.5 but I am still having the same problem.

Also, when I was on Mavericks with Serviio 1.4.1.2 I had two Serviio items in my applications folder (Serviio.app and Serviio Console.app). But when I install Serviio 1.5 I only have Serviio Console.app in my applications folder. Is this correct?

Yes, the installation locations for OSX have changed. See the FAQs, Release notes, etc.

Thank you. Moving the console app to another location and then moving it back to the applications folder fixed the problem.
