mediabrowser ignores presentation settings

Is there a way to make the media browser honour the presentation settings as defined in the console presentation tab? i can see that the media browser does the below call:-

Note the ignorePresentationSettings param. So is there a stored setting somewhere where i can tell it to set this to true by default? if set to true it honours my presentation settings, surprised it doesnt do that by default ???

It will always show the main 3 (Audio / Images / Video) and then the list of categories. It will ignore the See contents only settings, but it will show / hide categories.

This is mostly due to the MediaBrowser design - it would be weird to use if all the 'see through' categories were implemented.
