No library refresh since 1.5.2 installed

I upgraded from 1.4.1. Since then, no new files show in the existing shared folders. I attempted to force polling in serviio.service.exe.vmoptions like so, with no change (other than library log entries showing (poller) now:
  Code:
-Xmx512m
-Dserviio.forceLibraryPoller=true

I've made no permission changes since 1.4.1 (mind you, I checked to make sure Everyone had read access anyway).

Re: No library refresh since 1.5.2 installed

More information:

With debug on, I can see these entries for a folder "Daryl Hall & John Oates" that I added recently, with two album folders contained within:

2015-10-02 15:35:31,458 DEBUG [LibraryOneTimeScanner] Looking for files to share in folder: C:\Files\Shares\Media\Audio\Daryl Hall & John Oates
2015-10-02 15:35:31,459 DEBUG [LibraryOneTimeScanner] Looking for files to share in folder: C:\Files\Shares\Media\Audio\Daryl Hall & John Oates\Hall & Oates - Abandoned Luncheonette - 1973
2015-10-02 15:35:31,463 DEBUG [LibraryOneTimeScanner] Looking for files to share in folder: C:\Files\Shares\Media\Audio\Daryl Hall & John Oates\Hall & Oates - Private Eyes

I also ripped "The Best of Red Hot Chili Peppers" and added it to the "Red Hot Chili Peppers" folder that already existed, alongside "Californication":

2015-10-02 15:35:34,609 DEBUG [LibraryOneTimeScanner] Looking for files to share in folder: C:\Files\Shares\Media\Audio\Red Hot Chili Peppers
2015-10-02 15:35:34,609 DEBUG [LibraryOneTimeScanner] Looking for files to share in folder: C:\Files\Shares\Media\Audio\Red Hot Chili Peppers\Californication
2015-10-02 15:35:34,655 DEBUG [LibraryOneTimeScanner] Looking for files to share in folder: C:\Files\Shares\Media\Audio\Red Hot Chili Peppers\The Best of Red Hot Chili Peppers [EMI]

I don't know what a new entry is supposed to look like, but I don't see any obvious indication that it's recognized any new sound files in there. Meanwhile, there are dozens of new MP3s.

Re: No library refresh since 1.5.2 installed

I may have found the problem. I have several folders of DRMed music (the file names appear green in Windows). When Serviio 1.5 encounters these files, it stops updating until it is restarted. I have had to remove these files from any folders it scans, and restart the server process. These files have existed since August 2014, and I added many files to my library since then, so I know this was not a problem with 1.4 and is a clear defect in 1.5.

Re: No library refresh since 1.5.2 installed

I experienced the same thing. But instead of find out what files are the problem (I have some 10TB of files and it may take forever to get rid of all the bad files), I found the older version and re-installed the old version. Went in the setting to uncheck the "check for new version" box so it doesn't ofter to upgrade in the future. Nothing wrong with the old version that I know off. I know I have some bad files but as for any software, it should know how to handle error. What Serviio 1.5.2 should have done is skip the bad files rather than stop scanning all together.

Re: No library refresh since 1.5.2 installed

I tried to downgrade, but the schema changed between versions and it didn't like the format of my XML configuration files. I might as well have downgraded, because it seems to have blown away all the settings I carefully backed up anyway. It took me hours to get my libraries and online sources configured and scanned.

Interesting, I'll look into this.
