Recover Serviio Movie List

Hi guys,

I tried to find some similar topic in the forum but didn't have any luck so here I go. My HDD crashed two days ago and I am trying to recover the list of the movies that I had on it. Is it possible that I still can do this with serviio? How could I export a list of the added/deleted movies so I can at least try to recover them from scratch?

I would appreciate any help and comments.

I'm not sure I follow what you are looking for. Assuming you lost your C drive (Windows) or otherwise your main OS drive, and Serviio was installed in the default location, then your Serviio database would be lost, along with everything else on the drive. Only recoverable if you have backups.

I am also assuming your videos were on a different drive or network location. Since you would have to reinstall Serviio (along with everything else), just let it rebuild your library. What purpose would recovering the database provide, other than perhaps a little faster library rebuild?

If your video files are gone as well, I'm not sure what the library list would provide you, other than something to assist with replacing the titles. Again, if the hard drive died and nothing can be read from it, then there's no way to find out what the database contained.
