Hi this is my first post on this forum. My problem is that I have upgraded to Windows 10 64 bit and now Serviio will not work. I have tried reinstalling several times without luck. i have all my media on a WD Mybook Live NAS drive. I had no problem on Windows 7 but this has me stumped. Is there a Serviio 64 bit download and would this make any difference. David Suddaby

No, there is only one Windows version of Serviio. Your problem isn't really defined. What do you mean by "will not work". Does the Serviio service start, but no media is appearing? Or does the service not start up?
If it's running, but no media is listed, you likely have a permissions issue between the Serviio service and your NAS drive. Serviio does not install under your user account, but a Windows Local System account. This account by default cannot access network resources. Also, Windows 10 really pushes you to use a Live account ID, which 7 did not and 8 was less pushy. That could explain why it used to work but now doesn't.
So, explain better what's not working, then we can examine various causes.

Re: Serviio Problem Windows 10
Hi.
I have a similar problem. In my case, Serviio doesn´t start up.
When installing Serviio, the first time it runs properly and works very good. In fact, my TV detects the Serviio Server and I can play my PC contents and watch streaming from Sopcast.
Next time I start Windows, Serviio server doesn´t start and though I go to the serviio menu or go to the program directory to execute it, it doesn´t work, doesn´t start up and cannot operate with it.
How can I solve this problem?.
Thnks

Re: Serviio Problem Windows 10
I had the same issues as the OP. Windows 7 worked fine but win 10 did not.
For me the fix was going into the services under computer management and setting the user name by RC on Sergio service, then properties. Second tab. One I made that change, I ised the unc path and it started indexing right away.

Need to see your log to determine what's going on. Look for the log in c:\program files\Serviio\log
