Media Browser and ServiioGo don't combine songs into album

Exactly what the title says.. ServiioGo and the Media Browser do not combine some songs of the same Album into one group. Each Album image has 1 song listed under it lol. I have an image that shows exactly my issue. It's only Super Eurobeat albums that do it, all the metadata is correct. Windows Media Player 12 shows everything correct (Used 3rd party program to encode metadata) as well as a few media players I've tried on my phone. It's only Serviio that has the issue.

Has anyone seen or solved this? What is going on?

How about in the list view?

Re: Media Browser and ServiioGo don't combine songs into alb

I'm afraid it does it here as well.. Also, ServiioGo app for andriod does this as well in Grid and List/Detail view. These albums all have various artists, so is it that MediaBrowser sorts first by album then sub-sorts by artist? I've never had this happen in other media applications such as windows Media Player, Groove Music, etc... so I'm quite sure I have all my album's metadata correct.

This is discussed in viewtopic.php?f=5&t=16482&p=100189&hilit=Album#p100189

For a given Album title, Serviio will post one album per Artist. This makes sense since there are many Albums titled "Greatest Hits" and you want their songs separated by artist.

Where however you have a compilation (many "[contributing] artists" on one album) you need to add a unique label under "Album Artist" tag eg: "EB1" to each song and that will cause Serviio to consolidate all those songs under the "Album" tag Name. That will eliminate the multiple albums you are getting.

Interesting, hadn't thought of that but it makes sense. Thanks!

Update: This worked perfectly, thanks for the suggestion!
