hi,
i use serviio 1.6.1 with windows and my lg tv.
Some video with subtitle has sometime this text {pos/295} before text.
it is not the case with vlc player for example on my computer.

Re: subtitle problem

@sale89: you've come to this forum looking for support for your copy of Serviio that uses a pirated key, and then complain about the lack of support you get from the person you have stolen from!!?? Suggest you take your own advice.

@sam561: as I understand it, the POS tag (and other tags in srt's) is supported by very few devices and (slightly more) software players. It would be up to your player to support these if playing subs natively.
While it may be possible for Serviio to deal with these when burning in subs, it would take development work, not something that can immediately be fixed (and would require you to burn in srt subs even if you're player supported them natively - which in itself is not an optimal solution). Have you looked at:

  • manually removing the tags. Edit the file with a text editor and remove the tags - obviously only practical if a small number of files affected. The subs will appear in the default position
  • if your LG supports ass files, convert your srt file to ass (which supports text positioning), using a converter available on the web. Not sure which, if any, support the POS tag and convert it, so you may have to test a few
