Connectivity is not established - ASUS RT-AC66u port forward

Hi,

I have tried to setup port forwarding on my ASUS RT-AC66u (port 23424 with TCP). When I use the "check connectivity status" button in the Serviio console, it says that the connectivity is not established. I have tried switching Windows defender and the router and computer firewalls OFF but it does not help. Do you have any advices please?

I should add that I actually have two Serviio installed and running on my LAN, on different PCs. Could this create an issue?

Two things: what did you use as your external address? You either have to have a FQDN or IP address, and if the IP address isn't static you have to use a FQDN along with a dynamic DNS setup. The other thing: it's possible the check fails but you can still connect from the outside. Make sure you've actually tested it from the Internet.

I have two Serviio servers on my network, but the port forwarding is only set up to forward to one of them. I have no issues connecting to it from outside. Make sure you aren't trying to forward them both with the some port number.

Potentially yes, if you are using Serviio to "Automatically Configure your Router" (an Option on the remote tab of Serviio Console).
Turn this option off on one copy of Serviio, or better turn it off on both and manually forward the port in your router to your master Serviio server (and ensure that the servers have a reserved IP address each).

Re: Connectivity is not established - ASUS RT-AC66u port for

The answer is simple create a virtual server in your router with the port 23424 forward to your wan ip (router)

example : Server serviio install to the pc 192.168.2.16

Modem
eternal wan modem : 50.49.241.233
internal lan ip : 192.168.1.1
Forward with virtual server hte port 23424 to 192.168.1.2

Routeur
external wan ip : 192.168.1.2
internal lan ip : 192.168.2.1
Forward with virtual server the port 23424 to 192.168.2.16 (adress of your server)

Enjoy :)
