PC Playback Cache

Hi there.
I have all my media on my desktop with Serviio installed.

But for playback I use a dedicated laptop. Serviio just appears there in Network, I freely browse through folders, and all the media is there. When I choose to watch something, it seems to load the episode into the laptop (Windows 10 defalut copy progress bar) and then play it off the laptop HDD.
I thought that the temp loaded files would delete themselves after watching, though they don't appear to do so.
So I was wondering where the temp files are stored, to I can clean that up, or even schedule an autocleaner, as I don't have a lot of HDD space on the laptop. Thanks

It only caches the file if it is being transcoded. Otherwise there is no cache. The transcoding location is set in the Delivery tab of the console, under transcoding. The default location for a Windows install is C:\Windows\TEMP\. You can change the location, but for performance it needs to on the Serviio computer.

OK, I just re-read your post and I misunderstood. You're talking about the playback device. IF there's any cache performed by your laptop, it's most likely wherever your OS has a TEMP location configured. That is OS specific, and nothing that Serviio has control of.
