Serviio 1.7 (connection not established)

I have a problem.
I have Serviio Pro since 1.6 and it is a hassle to connect to it from the internet.
I have already configured my router and use dnsdymanic.org for my public address and I know it works because I used it for Plex Media Server as well so I know that I have configured it right.
I use my android phone with ServiiGo on it and whether I use it on my local network or on the 4g network I have to keep clicking retry many times to get it to connect maybe 2 out 10 retries it will connect.
Now as far as using a web browser with my public address it will not connect but using as local host it will.
I have port 23424 as tcp forwarded to my local pc for Serviio. I use Plex as well on port 32400 as tcp and no problems at all with it.
I use AVG Internet Security as my firewall and serviioservice shows to be allowed connections.

Any suggestions or guidance?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Serviio 1.7 (connection not established)

I have Serviio and Plex forwarding set up on my firewall with no issues. You may not be able to use your public IP address when you are inside your network. Don't know the reason, but I've encountered that before. I can connect from the Internet with no issues, but when inside my network I have to use the local IP address or computer name. I can't address any issues with ServiiGo as I don't have an Android device.

Re: Serviio 1.7 (connection not established)

I thought I figured it out but still same problem.
I disabled my ipv4 and ipv6 firewall within my Linksys Smart Wi-Fi router and went back to Serviio and clicked my connection status and got a "connection established" but clicked it again and it went back to "connection not established"
Tried ServiGo again and it worked perfect when I was on my network but when I went to 4G it didn't work.
This is the last 2 lines of my log
2016-09-14 07:31:43,832 INFO [PortMappingChecker] Running a check for external mapping of port 23424 on '-----serviio.wow64.net'
2016-09-14 07:31:52,586 WARN [YouGetSignalPortCheckerProvider] Cannot work out whether port 23424 is open or closed

I can tell you the port 23424 is open to my computer I even checked to see if it was open on canyouseeme.org and other port checking sites and "all" said it can see my service on 23424 so what gives?

Re: Serviio 1.7 (connection not established)

Serviio uses this service for port checking: http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

Try it manually in the browser. If this service doesn't work properly it'd only affect the connectivity check in the console though, not the actual connectivity to Serviio.

That was one of the sites I checked my ports on and checked it again just now and it says it is open.

Ok, so go to

https://www.whatismyip.com/

and then try that IP:23424/mediabrowser when you're on 4G

Re: Serviio 1.7 (connection not established)

On that site you gave me it shows this - Your IP Address Is: 2600:8803:dc00:ef:a0b2:9c7b:862a:a82f

But on dnsdynamic.org it shows this - 68.12.192.138

Re: Serviio 1.7 (connection not established)

Got it fixed!:)
I used my ip address 68.12.192.138 instead of using the address name that is associated with my address that I got off of dnsdynamic.org

Why is that may I ask?
