Video random playback on TV

Hello,

I am using a QNAP TS219 and a Samsung and a Panasonic TV to stream Videofiles from the NAS to the TV.
On the TS219 i used TWONKY Server and the video playback is working.
But now in the company videos should be played at random.
TWONKY does can not.

So my question,
can you say my, if SERVIIO (in free or pro version) can play random playback on my TV about dlna?

Thank you :)

Re: Video random playback on TV

In general, random playback is a function of your streaming device, not the server. Looking at the Serviio console, I do see a random music category, but not for video. One thing that Serviio does support is Playlists. You could create a mix of videos and Serviio will play them one after another.

Although, I must say again that it depends on your playback device. My Panasonic ST30 TV will not play videos one after the other (continuous play) it will repeat the same video, but that's it. There's nothing that Serviio can do to alter that.
