last version serviio

I had ver. 1.4, for which I had no use for a period of time.
When trying to launch it, it told me that I may update to last version of Serviio 1.7.1.1
I have downloaded it, and installed it on my Mac with OS Sierra.
I have tried to launch the software and failed when I was getting this window:

I wish i could have an explanation to what I should do in order to be able to launch the last version software.

TIA

Re: last version serviio

I can't see your screenshot, so I'm going to guess what it might be

Your older version had a dedicated console application. That application has been dropped, and the console is now web based. You can open it on the Serviio computer at http://localhost:23423/console. From a different computer on your network, change localhost to the computer name or IP address. You are probably trying to use a desktop shortcut from the old console. Since the application is no longer there, you get an error.

There is also no longer a system tray icon on Windows. I don't know if there was an equivalent on a Mac, but what it means is there is no longer something indicating that the Serviio service is running. Do a check for processes and I'll bet you still see Serviio running. Open the new console and away you go!
