1.7 for Synology?

When should 1.7 come to Synology devices? Been having to use a mix of DS Video and Serviio because of mix of audio streams but I really hate DS Video.

Re: 1.7 for Synology?

Hi Zip,

Patters explained in his blog that he did not wish to continue to compile ffmpeg on 7 differents hardware targets "for the sake" (benefit) of Synology. I agree 100%.
In fact, I think that Serviio improves Synology's product (more than PLEX system).
That would be fine if Synology's developers follow Serviio development and help you (and Patters) to create an official package.
I think a partnership would be fine, for all of you (us).
Are there any hope ?

Re: 1.7 for Synology?

Patters said he's still planning to release new versions, but perhaps without the HW encoding built-in.
