Connection issue with switch

Hi, I recently moved stuff around in my house resulting in my TV in a different room and my computer where the TV once was. Before, my PC was connected to the internet via a wired powerline adapter. (through my home wiring, love these things) and my TV was plugged directly into my router. Now, it's reversed with my PC plugged into the router and the TV plugged into a powerline adapter. When plugged directly into the powerline adapter, Serviio seems to connect and things are fine, but since there are other things that need ethernet at my TV (roku, xbox, etc) I use an ethernet switch there now. When connected to the switch, Serviio can't find my TV anymore. Everything else works on the switch and going through the network settings on my TV (Samsung smart TV that has it's own ethernet port) it says that I have internet connected to the TV just fine. Neither Serviio or the PC media sharing options seem to work on the TV though when using the switch. TV does not come up in connected devices in Serviio either.

The only thing I've noticed is that my IP address for the TV changes when it's connected to the powerline vs. the switch (192.168.1.67 vs 192.168.2.3). I don't know how to troubleshoot this from here, any suggestions?

Re: Connection issue with switch

I had been using an old wifi router I had as a switch, and replaced it with a real switch yesterday and didn't get immediate results. Turns out that the switch increments my IP address (see above) and those two networks can't talk to each other. Now, I put the switch in and it seems to work today. Woo hoo.
