Questions for a newer user

Hi,

I have a question that I was hoping the forum might help me with.

I am having some problems sorting some content into movies and TV shows.
I tend to pre-sort via iTunes as I like to download content onto my iPad etc. The I choose the iTunes paths for Movies and TV Shows. I have down loaded a number of TV shows and they are all available through: FOLDERS>TV SHOWS on Serviio. However three shows are also being listing within MOVIES. The entire season is listed as individual movies. I should point out that these are also available.

How do I ensure these three shows do not appear in movies. It is important that I resolve this as two of them contain content that would not be suitable for my children (they do not know how to locate the Series/TV shows location).

Regards

Lee

Re: Questions for a newer user

Naming formatting is very important in Serviio. There are a couple ways to name files when it comes to series, but I've find the best is:

For example:
The Simpsons S05E06.

Or If it is in a Folder named The Simpsons just:

S05E06 works as well.

Serviio gets it's metadata from: http://thetvdb.com/ so make sure everything matches.

Thanks.

It was the fact that they were listed in TV and Movies that was throwing me. I renamed the guilty files and mostly they have moved. There are two three single files that are still there but they are safe to stay.

Thanks

Make sure under Presentation that you have checked the box that says "Show Series in relevant categories only". This should keep your TV episodes from appearing under Movies or Titles.
