How does one resort the displayed file list?

The file listing that is passed to the playing device is alphabetical. Is it possible to sort the list newest file first, and/or oldest file first? If so how?

Re: How does one resort the displayed file list?

That is the responsibility of the player, not Serviio. In fact, with some players it will completely ignore any sort and simply display it "their way". For example, I have my playlists in a desired order that doesn't match year, title, length, or any other identifiable field. My Roku players will display them as sorted in the playlist, while my Shield players (using Kodi or MrMC) ignores the way Serviio presents them and sorts them based on one of the other fields mentioned above. And I can't change it at the player or from Serviio.
