Serviio still showing deleted folders

Hi,

My serviio Media Browser is showing folders (and shows from within those folders) that have been deleted in the file manager. I've restarted the serviio service twice and also used Serviio "Console >> Library >> Library >> [Force Refresh]" button. How do I force it to notice the folder and files are gone?

Trying to play the shows it presents fails of course.

Serviio PRO v 2.0 on Win10 x64 Home.
([MediaServer] Serviio DLNA media streaming server v 2.0 (rev. 2dd498f22a77))

thanks!

Re: Serviio still showing deleted folders

My guess is that your Serviio shared library is located at the root of the drive (i.e. e:\) without any initial folders. Windows has a hidden folder at the root of each drive that stores deleted files in the Recycle Bin for possible retrieval. I learned a long time ago to create a folder at the root of the drive and put all media and any sub-folders within that root folder. I've never had an issue with deleted files appearing since.

Re: Serviio still showing deleted folders

Thanks for the tip, something important for me to keep in mind, but that's not the cause here. The libraries are D:\share\TV, D:\share\Pictures etc. Plus one of that phantom folders was renamed not deleted, and is now showing up under both old and new names.

Re: Serviio still showing deleted folders

The log from last night to this morning has some 385 messages like:
  Code:
2020-04-14 07:09:55,661 WARN  [RendererManager] Error while retrieving renderer description from http://192.168.1.97:38388/deviceDescription/MediaRenderer: connect timed out

Probably not related though as that IP is my android tv box.

Re: Serviio still showing deleted folders

OK, will need Zip to look at that then. That was the only reason I've encountered with deleted files still appearing.
