Force Refresh vs Keep Library Updated

I have two external USB disks as part of the Serviio library. Since they are removable and not always connected, I unchecked "Keep Library Automatically Updated".

Now, when I add/remove contents on those USB disks and want a refresh, should I push the "Force Refresh" button, or just check the "Keep Library Automatically Updated" and let Serviio refresh new contents ?

Please understand that I have a large library and would like Serviio to just scan changed files, not all of them !!!

Looking at the log it seems Force Refresh do a scan of all the contents not just changed ones.

How can I ask Serviio to just scan changed files on external USB drives ?

Re: Force Refresh vs Keep Library Updated

I believe (always possible to be wrong!) that Serviio now will retain media records on removable drives, and so you can leave the auto-refresh enabled. But if you prefer the manual method, then yes just click the Force Refresh button when you have new media added to your library locations.
