Serviio can stream content outside of my home network ?

I would like to know if with Serviio (or any other DNLA server) I can stream my media files outside of my home network,when I'm out of my home. And If you know a DNLA client that can connect to the Serviio server also when I'm not inside my home network. thanks.https://nox.tips/ https://xender.vip/

DLNA, by design, will not stream on the public Internet. Any device that makes your media accessible over the Internet isn't using DLNA as the transport.

Yes, you can still access your media from the Internet with Serviio, and other products as well. With Serviio, you need to purchase the Pro version. The free version will not do it. With Pro, you can use MediaBrowser as a web based interface to play your media over the Internet. This naturally means you have to use a web browser to view your media, and not a player such as a Roku or Fire TV. Also, if you have an Android based phone or tablet, you can use Serviigo, which is a program offered by a 3rd party (not Serviio), and it can connect to Serviio over the Internet as well.

As to other servers, Plex is probably the best known. It does work on Roku or Fire TV players over the Internet. Just be aware that you're granting access to your media server through the Plex server network, so they know what media you have and what you are watching.
