[Solved] Cannot connect to serviio

Ok im scratching my head on this one.
So far ive installed it, (win xp sp3, Serviio version 0.6.2)
It runs the service (services.msc, task manager and servio all say so)
Ive port forwarded (1900 udp and 8895 tcp. Ive also tried doing tcp/udp)
Canyouseeme.org says the 8895 is perfect, cannot see the 1900.
netstat says 1900 is open on udp not tcp (which faq says just udp is fine).
Firewall was disabled (Norton, that horrible horrible thing)
I have also added 1900,8895 to exceptions, added serviio to exceptions, added local traffic to exceptions.
Java version is updated (version xx)
I have set the ip addess to the bound spot, i have checked to ensure my ip address is correct.
I have disabled other network adapters and ensured the correct network adapter is the highest priority (ncpa.cpl-> advanced)
My isp does not list these ports as blocked, and i have checked (since i can unblock ports at my own risk)

I am using both a ps3 (which can see another media server) and vlc media server on a different computer (which pings the ip address correctly) to attempt to discover the device
i have added the ip addresses of these devices to the serviio device list

i dont get it, lil help. ive read both the faq and the wiki numerous times.

Re: Cannot connect to serviio

You don't have to open/forward the ports to the internet, just local network. Post detailed log.

Re: Cannot connect to serviio

Heres the log.
steps taken since reading the log myself
1. uninstall hamachi <- as it was binding on hamachi not my ethernet connection (despite telling it to bind ip address)
2. Uninstall ps3 media server, apache (old servers not intended to be in use, ps3 media did run on 1900 port)
3. ran a port scan with nmap <- showed 8895 is open for tcp, udp 1900 is open|filtered.
still trying to interpret what open|filtered is and what is actually filtering it.

still unable to find with ps3 (again rechecked ip) and vlc network browser.

btw i appreciate the quick reply.

Re: Cannot connect to serviio

Re: Cannot connect to serviio

Tv - not in use til ps3/vlc works. 0.99 - serviio

However ps3 = .0.4 and vlc .0.25
both have been added to the list. neither is capable of determining if the device is on (strange for the ps3).
tv is .0.32. it sees the tv is on However the tv says there is a connection from .99 however does not recognise this as a media server (however the connection it does recognise is in the media section).
Tv - samsung c/d series (according to servio)

it will not recognise the ps3 as active. nor does it recognise any of the computers as active.

New log is below

note all networks are on 192.168.0.x

Re: Cannot connect to serviio

There is something wrong. First, it still binds to the Hamachi NIC:

  Code:
[Device] Created UPnP Device with UUID: 1d3e70a1-2af6-3840-827c-49fe62a6557d, bound address: 5.96.59.104

Second there are these:

  Code:
[DiscoveryAdvertisementNotifier] Could not advertise the device on any available NIC, will try again

Also it looks like the server keeps starting and shutting itself down.

Try to update Java to version 7, also uninstall any previous Java versions - so that you only have the one you need.
