Devices not appearing in Serviio
Hi there
About a year ago I installed Serviio on my PC and the Airplayer app on my iPad and iPhone. They immediately and successfully talked to each other and I could access movies, music and photo files over my wifi network on my iPad, from my PC's hard drive. I had also been able to access my audio and video content on my Sony Blu Ray player.
However Serviio now can't see my apple devices on the Status tab / Renderer Profile and whilst I have managed to get it to see the Blu Ray player, that in turn can't connect to Serviio. The Airplayer app on my apple devices can't see the server either.
The pc operating system is windows 7, 32 bit home premium.
I have AVG Internet Protection installed, so this acts as my firewall. (I've tried disabling the firewall, to no avail)
The router is Netgear DGN 2200
I’m fairly proficient with computers, but my understanding of networks, routers and how devices communicate with each other is limited.
I am stumped and I hope that one of you folks will be able to help me resolve what has been a very lengthy ongoing problem.
Cheers,
Chris
