FFMPEG uses obscene CPU and RAM
I have a bit of an issue with ffmpeg. I have looked through the forums here but I can't seem to find one related to my issue. ffmpeg seems to be using a large amount of my CPU and RAM on my WHS 2011 Server. I used to have Twonky installed, but overall, I like Serviio's interface a little better. It's more lightweight and easier to use.
Anyway, I got it installed a few days ago and noticed that my server was running louder than before. I didn't really think much of it and let it go. A couple of says ago I was remoted in to my server from my network and started a few downloads on it. I soon found that my server was restarting without notice. I checked the logs and found it was restarting do it a bad thread in the CPU. So, I opened up my task manager and found that ffmpeg was taking up TONS of CPU and RAM.

If I try and end the process, it comes right back. So I ended Serviio and it went away. So I knew it was coming from Serviio. I looked into it to see what I could do to help. It seems if I leave the server alone (not remoted in), it won't restart, but it still has the high CPU usage. If I log into it and start to do something, it will generally restart after about 10-15 minutes. I updated ffmpeg to the latest version, but that didn't help. I turned off Metadata from online sources (No descriptive Metadata) and it still is high. I turned off Metadata from the 'Sources' tab but that didn't seem to help either. I am not sure what's going on. The log doesn't seem to show an issue. It looks like it will still play media to my GoogleTV alright without restart, but I haven't run a full movie yet, so I am not sure. I've checked the Library and they are both green, so it looks like it finished finding everything.
Is there anything else I can check? I want to continue to use Serviio, but if it's going to tax my system like it, I'll have to go back to Twonky =[ Let me know if there is anything I can try or provide screenshots to, and I would be happy to help. Thank you in advance!
