Series reboots?

I've ripped Battlestar Galactica, the 2004 reboot. No matter what I name the files it
a) identifies it as the 1970's show for series 1
b) ignores the second, third and forth series. Not sure if BSG in the 70's made it to the second series?? Who knows.

I've tried names such as:

Battlestar Galactica S01E01
Battlestar Galactica S01E01 (2004)
Battlestar Galactica S01E01 2004
Battlestar Galactica S01E01 33 <--- 33 is the name of the first episode, also tried some of the others with non numeric titles.
then all the same but BSG instead of Battlestar Galactica.

Also tried renaming the parent directory:
Battlestar Galactica Season 1
BSG Season 1
Season 1
Season 1 2004
Season 1 (2004)

I feel like I'm play a 1980's text based adventure game, which I guess is appropriate :)

two questions,

is there a way to totally override it looking stuff up?
Is there a solution to the above where it does look it up correctly?

Thank you.

Re: Series reboots?

So I solved the first part by using 2003 instead of 2004.

I still would like to know if there is a way you can disable the lookup for specific files/folders and just use the info in the filename?

Thank you

Yes, turn off "Retrieve Descriptive Metadata" for that shared folder (untick the "M" column in Serviio Console, Library, Shared Folders). Alternatively you can use your own created metadata by selecting different sources on the Metadata tab in Serviio Console (for example, use .nfo files to write your own metadata files. Various tools exist to help this process).

Is there a solution to the above where it does look it up correctly?
Yes, look at the source site (in this case thetvdb.com) and also use a tool like Filebot to assist you to get the file name correct. See my post at viewtopic.php?f=5&t=10626&p=70544#p70544.
