Picture order problem with Sony PS3.

When viewing a slideshow of pictures from a folder with over 999 images, the playback goes 1-100 then the next picture is 1000.
The pictures are sorted in Picasa by date then renamed so they are in order xxx-001.jpg to xxx-1529.jpg but they do not play in the slideshow correctly.

Is there a way to get the slideshow to play straight through without this error?

Thanks,

Re: Picture order problem with Sony PS3.

I assume you're in the Foldes category, where files are sorted alphabetically. Therefore you'll see the sorting you're seeing.

Yes I am in the folders view.

I organize my photos by season and year...Spring 07, Summer 07, Fall 07, Winter 07-08, Spring 08....
Most of these folders have over 1000 pictures in them and they are sorted by date and sequentially numbered.

Can this playback problem please be fixed in an upcoming release?

An 'easy' solution would be to always include 4 digits in the file names, e.g. 0145, ... 0999, 1000, 1001

Re: Picture order problem with Sony PS3.

I had to search but I found a way to renumber the photos as you suggested, but another problem.

My wife decided to move the house around before the holidays. Originally the PS3 and the computer were hard wired to my wireless router.
Now the computer is using a wireless connection and the PS3 no longer sees the Serviio media Server.

Do you have any ideas?
In troubleshooting this I have changed to static addresses for both the PC and the PS3, I can ping the PS3
from the computer, I have added the PS3's address to the Serviio GUI and also turned off the firewall on the computer and still no joy.
