New user - WIn Med Centre problems

Hi just installed Serviio on my HTPC (Win7, Acer AspireRevo AR3700-U3002) mainly to make all the media on it available around the house:

- Android phones
- Android tablets
- XBOX 360
- Win laptops/ultrabook

The installation went fine and I have poked around the console and set up the library folders. I can see and play the media when using VLC in my Win7 laptop. But on the same laptop (at the same time) neither of the following works:

- Windows Media Player - I can see the serviio server, but nothing any deeper down - through videos, or pictures or via folders.....
- Windows Media Centre - I can't see the serviio server - I can see the HTPC and can manually add the relevant folders on that remote comptuer to my library in Media Centre. But no serviio and no media that can be played.

What am I doing wrong?

I have never been able to use serviio through with WMP, I get the same result as you when I try.

Can't speak to windows media center though, as I don't have one.
