Sources - download - DL-link naming convention??

Hi folks.

I'm compiling ffmpeg etc. from sources.

It would be much easier to get things automated ( I use scripts) if you'd use standardized package name conventions in the download area:

E.g. ffmpeg-1.1.tar.gz

That e.g. would reflect ffmpeg sources applicable for serviio 1.1.

Today I need to lookup that pretty cryptic download link all the time, which heavily slows dowen the process, since it can not be done automatically.

Re: Sources - download - DL-link naming convention??

Well. It is cryptic by nature because the file name for ffmpeg, rtmp etc contain version numbers of app the source is for and not for Serviio.

Pretty much all versions of ffmpeg will work with any version of serviio (granted, you may not get all the benefits), but it'll still work.
