Debugging and IP detection problems
Dear Zip,
First I just want you to know that I think that you did an incredibly great work with serviio, from a programmer POV.
So, please take the following information as info/suggestion, not at all as critic:
1. The IP change detection is not working as I think it's meant to. The scenario is like this: Laptop is most time in standby. At work I have 192.168.1.x ip range, at home I have 192.168.72.x range. In my entire usage of serviio, I do not remember a single time opening the laptop at home and see Serviio on my TV, even after letting it wait for some time. Every time I have to stoop and start the service with the batch file in order to be able to use my tv, or, of course, restart my laptop.
2. The debugging activation and checking processes should be more user friendly. I think that a button in the interface with the function "Activate Debug" and another - "Open log" with the function to open the log file with notepad would make it easier for everyone to understand what's happening.
I really hope you will be able to implement my second suggestion, as I think it's pretty trivial and I think it would help a lot in debugging!
Cheers!
