I'm reverting to version 1.0 or 1.1

I'm giving up on the current version of Serviio. It seems quite unreliable, is failing to allow me to scroll within many video files, keeps finding new files when there are none, keeps giving me "Server failed" messages. With v1.0 or 1.1, I never experienced a single problem.
What a shame: something seems to have got lost in Serviio development - for me, it's no longer the wonderful product it was previously.

Yes, mostly hundreds of hours of my time, that are much appreciated by the likes of you.

Serviio is becoming quite big to manage now, and I'm gearing it toward even easier to use experience. Obviously not everything will work with the first try. Maybe next time try to provide some actual details of your troubles to make the software better.

I hope that I don't open a Pandora's Box by commenting on this, but I can not not comment. I stumbled across Serviio after Google searching for a replacement for the media server Tversity. For no reason other than I wanted to be able to see movie posters and cover art I switched to Serviio. I was hesitant as I had no experience and was unfamiliar with most of the terms that I was reading on the wiki and forums, but was encouraged when I saw that the developer was heavily involved and made frequent posts in the forum. In just a little over a year I have learned so much from using Serviio, and it's because it's a work in progress. I realize the OP was probably frustrated at the time of his/her post so I'm not taking any shots at them however I felt the need to say those "hundreds of hours" are not totally lost and they are appreciated. You and the people here have taught me a lot. So, thank you.

+1

Two years ago I discovered Serviio, I learned a lot about DLNA, video formats, and I even started developing in Java / Groovy. Thank you, Zip.

@hugson, please try enabling detailed logging and post your logs, all serviio community will try to help you...
