Still Problems with 1080 files

It's a shame but I tried Serviio again since update to 1.4 and still it cannot cope with 1080p or 3D files. The footage is either very stop and go or just constantly buffers.

Using LG 47LM670T and 47LW550T TV's

Re: Still Problems with 1080 files

Well, I have Blu-Ray rips that will play perfectly using my Sony BD player. I've seen indicated bitrates in excess of 50Mbps. The Roku has a problem with them, but that's a Roku issue, not Serviio. If you are having buffering issues, it sounds more likely to me that either a) the player (your TV) can't handle the HD bitstream, b) you are using Wi-Fi to connect either the server and/or the player, or c) your server can't handle the stream.

I have two machines running Serviio. One has a quad core CPU, 8 gig of ram and Windows Server 2003. The other has a dual core CPU, 8 gig of ram and Windows 7 Home Premium. Everything is on a wired gigabit network. I can stream HD from either, but the quad core server can handle more simultaneous streams.

Re: Still Problems with 1080 files

Use a wired connection and make sure your cpu load while playing is < 30%
