Help (basic and noobish)

I tried reading the guide (the first post on this board) and read some of the posts. They might as well be written in chinese as I understand close to zero of what is written.

My problem is a Panasonic P65VT50Y (nordic model). Everything works really well except for mp2 and mp4 which it will try to play but cant play (which the TV should, but thats a whole nother story). So I would like Serviio to transcode mp2 and mp4 files so I can keep using serviio instead of using windows media server as an optional meadia player (a bad one at that, wont play all files either).

I have chosen the TV profile in the Serviio menu, but it does not transcode mp2 and mp4 as the TV should play those formats so I suspect those are sent in the original file format. But I would like it to transcode since it does not play the formats. So thats the problem, how do I do that?

Which file so I need to modify and what should I write in the file?

From what I have read on the board I am no closer to actually getting the job done I have the TV on a 1 GB/s network so connection is not a problem.

are they video or audio files? What profile did you use so for? Post ffmpeg -i for the files.
