Transcoding Not Working On Panasonic TV

I am running Serviio on a Mac with Transcoding turned on.

When I try to play a file (almost every one) is say the file is not supported. Most of them are avi or mkv files.

These same files play perfectly when using a WDTV Live streaming device.

My TV is a Panasonic TC-P55GT50.

I am running Serviio console 1.4.1.2 which shows on the status tab the correct IP Address, with Device Name of Panasonic VIEra, and a Profile of Panasonic Viera G/GT/DT/UT/VT (2011/2012).

I thought with transcoding turned on these should play on my TV but they do not.

Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

Re: Transcoding Not Working On Panasonic TV

Most MKV's and AVI's are supported natively by the GT50. Try cycling transcoding on and off, restarting your Serviio server (or better yet, restart your MAC) between cycles.

Post a detailed log showing you attempting to play a few of the files and lets see if that sheds any light. Also post MediaInfo details for one of the MKV's that doesn't play.

Re: Transcoding Not Working On Panasonic TV

I tried what you suggested but I am still having the issue.

I followed the instructions to create a detailed log, but the log file is not getting updated. The log directory contains the following files:
derby.log
serviio.log
serviio.log.1
serviio.log.2
serviio.log.3
serviio.log.4
serviio.log.5
None of which have today's date on them which is when I modified the .xml file to create the detailed log.

I have attached a screenshot that shows the CODEC info for the file I am trying to play.

Thanks for your help.
