XBOX360 vs PS3

I have both my XBOX360 and PS3 setup to use Serviio. I noticed though that the videos when played on XBOX seem a tad darker and a bit less quality than when played on the PS3. I tried multiple videos (AVI/XVID) and would sit there switching from XBOX to PS3 and back at the same scenes. It was noticibly different.

I'd prefer to play all my video via the XBOX (PS3 fan noise is enough to drive me up the wall), but with the quality difference, I have a hard time to jusity it with my wife.

Anyway, has anyone else noticed this? What causes this difference? Does the profile need to be updated or something?

Re: XBOX360 vs PS3

Ive noticed a massive difference in quality between my 360 and PS3 not sure why but i have a slim ps3 so next to no fan noise so use my PS3 to watch my movies :)

Re: XBOX360 vs PS3

ps3 file type support is alot better than xbox, so less transcoding which equals better quality ( noisy fan can be fixed with and air duster spray to clean fan off )
