serviio on Win 7 Desktop Behind Access Points

I have home network with Sony TV and 2 access points cabled serially from my wireless router. the desktop is cabled to the 2nd AP. Trying to connect from my Sony TV via wireless to Serviio.

Sony TV cannot find serviio. I am guessing that the problem is that Sony connects to wireless router and requests dont make it through the other access points.

All routers & access points have UPnP enabled.

I have enabled port forarding 23424 to my Win7. Now Sony TV can indeed see servioo;

BUT i have now lost ability to the other DLNA server on my house network; my guess is that the port forwarding is forwarding ALL requests to the Win7 system.

My Question: How do I configure the routers so that all DLNA servers can respond to the Sony TV ?

thanks

Re: serviio on Win 7 Desktop Behind Access Points

Are you using true WAPs, or repurposing a router as an AP? With a WAP all IP packets should be visible across your entire network. Are the WAPs assigning an IP address? They should not be, as you want everything on your network to be in the same address range and subnet. Port forwarding is unnecessary. If your devices have IP addresses that differ (most normal home networks use 192.168.x.y, x being 0-255 and 7 being 1-254). All devices must have the same first three digits, with the last digit being unique for each device. I have a feeling your IP addresses are not consistent across the network. The fact port forwarding worked for a single device points toward that.
