UE40F6470 - Mac problems

Hi there,

first of all thanks for the support forum. I've just discovered your software yesterday and think it's great.

Except I have a problem getting it running properly.


I open the console on my mac.

Serviio detects my Samsung TV right away. I can access Serviio though my TV too. No problem.

However, once I go to Library and use the "Add local" function, I can't choose any files.

For instance I can choose a folder saying "Series X".
Once I click on it there is a list off all episodes:
for example:

"Series XE01"
"Series XE02" and so on.

But all files are grey and unavailable to select.

I have the same problem with all files on my Mac - jpeg, mkv, avi, vob doesn't matter.
I can see them, but not select them.

The folder I'm trying to access is open to everyone. The DLNA profile is set to Samsung TV C/D/E Series without restriction.

Any idea?

You need to add the Folder, not individual files. Once you have set the type of files it contains (video, music and/or photos), and press Save. Press force refresh (and if you like Show Status). Serviio will scan the folder you enter, and all subfolders, for media files.
