Newbie - truncated music files

Hi - I am a newbie to Serviio and would welcome help with the following problem.

A few months ago, I installed Serviio to play the music stored on my NAS to my Samsung TV. The music files are all FLAC. I was able to access Serviio from the TV and play the music successfully.

I have now upgraded Serviio to 1.0.1 and replaced the TV with a Samsung UE32ES5500. As before, I can access and play the music BUT, no matter how large the files, the track length is given as 1:25.02 and the music truncated after this time; the next track is played with the same result.

The same music copied to a USB hard drive attached directly to the TV plays OK (I was very surprised to find FLAC is a supported format for direct-attached files).

many thanks in advance - Roy

NB This problem was originally posted in the User Experiences sub-forum but has been re-entered after getting no response.

Re: Newbie - truncated music files

Thanks for the response. As I said, I am new to this type of software and after more time spent on it I realise that, altho' there does appear to be a problem, it is not as I described. What appears to be happening is:

- I select Serviio as the source on my TV, either directly using Source or indirectly using Allshare and working thro'
- the first track (all are FLAC) that I select displays the correct length and plays through properly
- the second and subsequent tracks show a length of 1:25:02 (ie 1 hr 25 minutes 2 seconds), play properly to the end of the track and then show an error message
'The selected file is not currently supported'. After a pause of several seconds, the next track is selected and the same thing happens.
- this happens whether the tracks are in the same album or are single tracks from different albums (folders)
- also, it happens whether I am using Folders or Composers view

Hope this gives you enough info

best wishes - Roy Simpson
