Speed ?

Hello,

For test purposes on same FreeBSD box(using jails) I installed

- Serviio 1.0.1
- Serviio 1.1
-MiniDLNA
-MediaTomb

And on anotehr Windows Box

- UniversalmediaServer
- PS Media Server

After I switch on TV MiniDLNA show up first, Servio 1.0 a few seconds after it and in about 2 min maybe Serviio 1.1. Then the rest.

I do not care about the rest as I want to use Serviio, but do you know why Serviio 1.1 show so much after Serviio 1.0.1 on my Samsung UES6300 ?

Thanks,

Peter

Re: Speed ?

The enderer, when turned on, sends a DISCOVERY SSDP message, with MX header including value of max. seconds to respond. Serviio will respond in random number of seconds given by interval <0, MX>. So this might be different every time you turn on the TV.

Re: Speed ?

The problem is that 1.0 always wins(is notably faster) :-)

Is there any setting I can change ?

Thanks,

Peter

Re: Speed ?

enable detailed log and compare what both versions do at the time (and some seconds later) of starting the TV.

Re: Speed ?

FYI: The problems comes from FreeBSd jails & multicast. It is a FreeBSD issue. However the strange thing is that Serviio 1.0.1 works like charm for me, so I stick to it for now :-)
