audio not supported and random drop outs

Hi. I use futubox with serviio to stream to my smart TV.

It does work but I have not yet once been able to watch something without problems. A lot of the time I get audio not supported whilst watching, after a bit this will resolve itself and continue but it happens frequently. I also get cut outs where it says the service is no longer available and closes. Other times the video and audio are very choppy.
The TV I have is recognised in serviio and it is a Samsung series e.

I have upgraded to 1.1 but still no better I can go a maximum of about 15 minutes before the errors start.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Kevin

Are these transcoded files? (check detailed log). If not it might be due to a slow IO/network, if it transcodes a slow CPU might cause this.

Re: audio not supported and random drop outs

Hi Zip,

Thanks for replying.

Can I ask where the detailed logs are so I can have a look? Would it better to turn off transcoding? I do only have a dual core system - quite old but thought it would be fast enough.

It is over a wifi network not wired but again it is a virgin super hub which I would hope would be fast enough.

Thanks

Try disabling transscoding to make sure. Wifi connection might also be a problem, depends on the quality of the signal and distance from the router.

To be honest it seems a little worse without transcoding on. The virgin WiFi router is about 3 yards from TV. But is via WiFi not Ethernet.

Are there any logs that might tell me what the problem is?

If it's this close, try it with wired connection.

Re: audio not supported and random drop outs

I'll try and get hold of another Ethernet cable and try it out. I have a couple of home plugs hanging around as well. Just read something about turning off windows media network streaming service so I'll give that a go and see if that improves anything
