[SOLVED] bdp-s590 no longer showing up in 1.2.1

I had my bdp-s590 showing up fine in Serviio prior to the upgrade to 1.2.1

When it wouldn't play, I removed the profile, saved, unplugged the player (power & Ethernet), restarted Serviio service & console, restarted it, then plugged in the player. Now I've lost not only the profile, but now my Sony doesn't even show up at all.

what version were you running before you upgraded? also can you see your server with other devices?

I had 1.2 running until today.

I don't have any other items attached to the server except the Sony.

try VLC just to see if you can browse to your serviio instance and play a movie. from what you have said so far, I have a suspicion that it may not be running.

Uninstalled and reinstalled, but now I can't get anything to show up in the Renderer Profile.

ok so you got an installation issue... try removing and reinstalling java first.

Removed and reinstalled Java & restarted, but nothing is still showing in Renderer Profile.

- Cleanup the server list in Sony device network settings.

What is the IP address of your Sony device ? Did you fixed it or used a automatic DHCP server ?

It's fixed at 10.*.*.8.
I ran network connections diagnostics on the Sony just to double check it, and it's still the same IP address.

Still not showing in Renderer.

from the logs it appears to be running, but the fact that you can't see it from VLC is an issue. Until you get it working from VLC you should ignore the TV part of your issue. Does the service show as running in the services console?

Yeah, the service is running both in the Serviio console and when I go through Start menu and press "Start Serviio service".

I'm also now able to use VLC to get to a shared film via Serviio.

Even with firewall disabled, the Sony doesn't show up in Serviio.

On router, do you try to fixe the Sony device IP address ?

I have tried that as well.
