Re: Flv files not playable

I know that there's no option currently to specify the sampling rate value, but are you considering hard-coding a value? Both iSedora and Mezzmo use 48k for their sampling rate value and produce video files that play audio perfectly.

I'll try different values for targetACodec and see what happens.

Re: Flv files not playable

Looking at this now, can you confirm that the FLV file transcoded with 44100 was playing ok? So only files with freq < 44100 need to use 48000 ?

Re: Flv files not playable

I've tried different values for targetACodec and the results varied depending on the file. With flv files, aac & mp2 worked but mp3 produced no audio. With avi files, aac & mp3 produced unsupported file but mp2 produced no audio.

Yes, the flv file with 44100 rate plays ok with the default sampling rate of 44100. The avi file with the 22050 rate seems to need to be sampled at 48k in order to play audio when transcoded.

As I've mentioned, at least on the Sony, every file seems to play fine when transcoded at a sampling rate of 48k regardless of the files native sampling rate.

Re: Flv files not playable

Whats the best free flv player for playing videos from the same file folder? I recently lost everything on my pc due to a virus. I cant find the old flv player i had. What free flv players will allow yoo to stream files from a file folder automatically without having to choose a video everytime one stops playing?

Re: Flv files not playable

Hi everyone!

Serviio is great.
After testing a couple of different media servers for Mac, Serviio was the only one, playing all my files.
I'm a absolute beginner with this topic, and Serviio was running (almost) out of the box for me.
I startet using the software with 0.5.0 a couple of weeks ago and updated to 0.5.1 two days ago.
So far everything works still fine, except .flv playback.
It worked fine with 0.5.0, but not at all with 0.5.1.
Serviio is running on an iMac, my BDP-S370 (EU) is connected via WLAN.

I would love to use 0.5.1, but until I can't playback flv-files, I went back to 0.5.0, which still works fine.
Would it help, to reinstall the EU Profile, instead of the new "all in one"-profile?
Thank you for your help!

no please dont use a 0.5.0 profile with later version of serviio as that will cause you more troubles than it will fix. From what i understand ZIP has fixed this error for the next release that will hopefully be out later this week

Re: Flv files not playable

Hi Zip, I have a Samsung C-Series TV and I am trying to play the FLV files. I used to be able to do this with an earlier version but now I am not able to play all the files. The strange thing is that Serviio show thumbnails for all the FLV files which are in the directory however its able to play only a few of them. I believe its a configurations issues, but even after several changes I am not able to figure this out

following is the ffmpeg log of a file I was NOT able to play
