Sorry, but I don't understand, what to you mean by wrong "Online Sources"?
Could you download some 3gp samples and add them to your local library?

Re: Bravia 2013 models (W & X9005A serie)

I meant I accidently wrote online sources like "Online RSS" or "live streams" would work with new 2013 profile, but I was wrong. Even I saw profile Bravia 2013 profile active, but it was not seems still Bravia 2009 profile was choosen. Might be a bug: sometimes it is not possible to click on save button after switching profiles.
----
I downloaded and added to library following 3pgs:

1) dolphins_1800k.3gp
2) Media-Convert_test1_3GPv4_H263_xbit_352x288_AR1.22_15fps_KFx_374kbps_AMRNB_Mono_8000Hz_12.2kbps.3gp
3) Quicktime_test9_3GPv5_MPEG4SP_24bit_320x240_1.33_24fps_KF1in30_320kbps_AMR-NB_Mono_48000Hz_7.95kbps.3gp
4) 3GP_AAC_48kbps_H263_208kbps_25fps_QCIF.3gp

Profile 2013 beta official from 20.08.2013
1) displayed and working fine 2) displayed, but video and sound not working 3) displayed, but sound not supported 4) not displayed in folder

if I use an older 2013 beta with improvements chilano made
all 1) 2) 3) 4) displayed and working fine

also added 3g2:

5) SUPER_test1_3GP2_MPEG4SP_xbit_320x240_AR1.77_29.97fps_KFx_64kbps_AAC-LC_Stereo_48000Hz_256kbps.3G2
6) Quicktime_test1_3GP2_H263_xbit_176x144_AR1.22_25fps_KF1in15_256kbps_AAC_Mono_48000Hz_96kbps.3g2
7) HelixMobileProducer_test4_3G2_H.263_xbit_352x288_AR1.22_25fps_KFx_128kbps_QCELP_x_xHz_14kbps.3g2

all not displayed

Thanks, to resume...

Profile 2013 beta official from 20.08.2013

1) dolphins_1800k.3gp => 3GPP6/H264/AAC works

2) Media-Convert_test1_3GPv4_H263_xbit_352x288_AR1.22_15fps_KFx_374kbps_AMRNB_Mono_8000Hz_12.2kbps.3gp => 3GP4/H263/AMR_nb Failed (but displayed) => Audio codec probably not supported

3) Quicktime_test9_3GPv5_MPEG4SP_24bit_320x240_1.33_24fps_KF1in30_320kbps_AMR-NB_Mono_48000Hz_7.95kbps.3gp => 3GP5/MPEG4-Simple@L3/AMR_nb Failed no sound (but displayed) => Audio codec probably not supported

4) 3GP_AAC_48kbps_H263_208kbps_25fps_QCIF.3gp => 3GP5/H263/AAC Failed (not displayed) - probably because video and audio stream are not in first position or h263 not supported

5) SUPER_test1_3GP2_MPEG4SP_xbit_320x240_AR1.77_29.97fps_KFx_64kbps_AAC-LC_Stereo_48000Hz_256kbps.3G2 => 3GP5/MPEG4-Simple Scalable@L1/AAC Failed (not displayed) => Simple Scalable mpeg4 profile probably not supported

6) Quicktime_test1_3GP2_H263_xbit_176x144_AR1.22_25fps_KF1in15_256kbps_AAC_Mono_48000Hz_96kbps.3g2 => 3GPP2/H263/AAC Failed (not displayed) => So h263 not supported

7) HelixMobileProducer_test4_3G2_H.263_xbit_352x288_AR1.22_25fps_KFx_128kbps_QCELP_x_xHz_14kbps.3g2 => 3GPP2/H263/QCELP Failed (not displayed) => probably h263 and Qcelp ot supported

So could you retry with these two lines added from the Profile 2013 beta official from 20.08.2013 ?
<Matches container="3gp" aCodec="amrnb" />
<Matches container="3gp" vCodec="h263" />
( only [5] ) should failed )

Thanks

Re: Bravia 2013 models (W & X9005A serie)

I did as you asked:

1) 2) 3) 4) work now :).

5) 6) 7) not shown in folder. (the ending is 3G2 not 3gp)

I didn't pay attention to it, because headline of website says 3gp
http://download.wavetlan.com/SVV/Media/HTTP/http-3gp.htm.

Zip, does serviio support 3GPP2 stream ?

Serviio support these profile...
<MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/3gpp">MPEG4_P2_3GPP_SP_L0B_AAC</MediaFormatProfile>
<MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/3gpp">MPEG4_P2_3GPP_SP_L0B_AMR</MediaFormatProfile>
<MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/3gpp">AVC_3GPP_BL_QCIF15_AAC</MediaFormatProfile>
<MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/3gpp">MPEG4_H263_3GPP_P0_L10_AMR</MediaFormatProfile>
<MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/3gpp">MPEG4_H263_MP4_P0_L10_AAC</MediaFormatProfile>
And Sony need following mimetype:

http-get:*:video/3gpp:*,
http-get:*:video/3gpp2:*,

Re: Bravia 2013 models (W & X9005A serie)

btw. online resourses are still not shown in "online" folder. Do you have any idea which file these would have (to add them in profil)?? As mentioned before I added "LiveFeeds_HD_Sports.rss".

Thank you.

Edit:

made further tests as Live stream:

1)
  Code:
mmsh://live1.wm.skynews.servecast.net/skynews_wmlz_live300k
- displayed and working

2)
  Code:
rtmp://cdn.rtmp1.yupptv.tv:1935/nwk/ swfUrl=http://cdn.freedocast.com/player-octo/yume/v5/infinite-hd-player-FREEDOCAST.SWF pageURL=http://www.yupptv.com/streams/newsx1.aspx playpath=newsx

Re: Bravia 2013 models (W & X9005A serie)

Illico, any idea what needs adding to the profile to get an MKV container with h264 and FLAC to play correctly? Using the current 2013 profile allows the video to be played but an error is displayed on the TV stating the audio format is not supported. If I try with the 2012 profile it plays back fine, although the AR is incorrect as the video is 2.40:1 rather than 16:9. Here's the MediaInfo output:

  Code:
Format                           : Matroska
Format_Version                   : Version 4 / Version 2
OverallBitRate_Mode/String       : Variable
OverallBitRate/String            : 15.7 Mbps

Format_Settings_CABAC/String     : Yes
Format_Settings_RefFrames/String : 5 frames
CodecID                          : V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC
Width/String                     : 1 920 pixels
Height/String                    : 800 pixels
DisplayAspectRatio/String        : 2.40:1
FrameRate_Mode/String            : Constant

Could you retry with the updated profile ? viewtopic.php?f=11&t=11147

For aspect ratio, the original is not a standard DAR, so nothing to do...or have to force h264 transcoding to mpeg2video, but that will be for all h264 video, not so good.

I did try with the updated profile from 20/08/2013, but I think it might be missing Media Format Profile elements. I experimented with a few settings this evening and I've eventually got the format working, including the AR issue. I added an extra target container specifically for the format I'm testing, which restricts the bitrate of the audio, and I've added the Media Format Profiles from the sony2012 profile:

  Code:
<Profile id="sony2013c" name="Sony Bravia TV (2013-chilano)" extendsProfileId="1">

      - Video: MPEG1 / MPEG2PS / AVCHD , MP4, Xvid, Motion JPEG, VC1, MKV, 3gpp, MOV, WebM

I suspect not all of the Media Format Profile elements are required to resolve the issue, but unfortunately I don't know enough about the formats they specify to pick out the required elements.

Re: Bravia 2013 models (W & X9005A serie)

Flac audio is not supported, so must be transcode to AC3 or LPCM...

I updated the profile by adding this line :
<Matches container="*" vCodec="h264" aCodec="flac" />
Then could you retry with the updated profile : viewtopic.php?f=11&t=11147&p=72112#p72112

PS: The DAR="16:9" option only have sense when video is transcoded for exemple with targetVCodec="mpeg2video"...so on your previous exemple, DAR option is not used, and not revelant.

Re: Bravia 2013 models (W & X9005A serie)

So I've done some more testing with this today with the sony2013 profile (http://forum.serviio.org/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=11147&p=72112#p72112).

Using that profile the video isn't displayed in the library at all. It is only displayed if add these Media Format Profiles to the the sony2013 profile:
  Code:
<MediaFormatProfiles>
   <!-- Rename native avi formats to those supported by the tv -->
   <MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/avi" name="">AVI</MediaFormatProfile>
   <!-- Rename native mpeg2ts with h264+ac3/aac formats to those supported by the tv (aac support is not advertised by the renderer but it works) -->
   <MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/vnd.dlna.mpeg-tts" name="AVC_TS_HD_24_AC3,AVC_TS_HD_50_AC3,AVC_TS_HD_60_AC3,AVC_TS_HD_EU">AVC_TS_MP_HD_AC3</MediaFormatProfile>

</MediaFormatProfiles>

The video now shows up in the library but when played it is displayed with the wrong AR. The video resolution is 1920x800 (2.40:1) and is being stretched to 1920x1080 (16:9) rather than displayed in 16:9 with black bars. When ffmpeg is invoked the following parameters are being used:
  Code:
C:\Program Files\Serviio\bin\\..\lib/ffmpeg.exe -fflags +genpts -threads auto -i C:\video.mkv -y -threads auto -c:v copy -bsf:v h264_mp4toannexb -c:a ac3 -b:a 192k -ac 6 -map 0:0 -map 0:1 -sn -f mpegts C:\transcoding-temp-20587-sony2013-ORIGINAL.stf

Now if I add a target container to the profile which explicitly specifies the intended DAR:
  Code:
<Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetACodec="ac3" DAR="16:9" forceInheritance="true">
   <Matches container="*" vCodec="h264" aCodec="flac" />
</Video>

The video is now displayed in 1920x1080 (16:9) with black bars. When ffmpeg is invoked a very different set of parameters are being used which is clearly specifying padding the vertical resolution from 800 pixels to 1080 pixels:
  Code:
C:\Program Files\Serviio\bin\\..\lib/ffmpeg.exe -threads auto -i C:\video.mkv -y -threads auto -c:v libx264 -profile:v baseline -level 3 -preset veryfast -crf 10 -vf pad=1920:1080:0:140:black,setdar=4:3 -r 24000/1001 -g 15 -bsf:v h264_mp4toannexb -flags -global_header -c:a ac3 -b:a 192k -ac 6 -map 0:0 -map 0:1 -sn -f mpegts C:\transcoding-temp-20587-sony2013c-ORIGINAL.stf

This seems to me like this could be a bug in Serviio's transcoding/remuxing?

Do you try to change the fourcc to XVID with that tools ? viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4599

Wow thank you it is working :). Not only that it plays now the not supportet avi files with codex DX50. Now no problems with fast forward when jumping in middle of the movie. Before it seems with transcoding it need much time like the computer is rendering the hole movie before a wide jump was popssible.

Any idea how to fake this with serviio? to tell the sony DX50 = xvid without transcoding?

Any new ideas to get online recourses / RSS file shown with official profile?

And 3GPP?

Thank you.

without transcoding, there is no solution yet with serviio.

Re: Bravia 2013 models (W & X9005A serie)

1) "DX50" Thx. Do you know a method to make a batch rewriting DX50 to XVID like with "AVI FourCC Code changer"?

2) "3GPP" Thank you. I make another test. If I rename a *.3G2 file to *.3GP then it is listed and working! So maybe there is a trick to make serviio tell SONY to list/show a *.3G2 file? Maybe then it will played, too? Maybe because most important to make sony list the fileformat in his player.

3) "online recourses / RSS" I think the not listing/showing of files is the problem for this problem, too.

a) If I add "https://sites.google.com/site/neilsrss/LiveFeeds_HD_Sports.rss" under Library -> Online sources -> add -> online Rss/Atom feed nothing is shown on current "bravia profile" (empty folder)

If I switch to profile 2012 I can see 8 channels and they work (if they are online)

b) If I do same for: "https://sites.google.com/site/serviiorss/LiveFeeds_TV_Sports.rss" nothing is listed even not with 2012 profile. So I wonder if there is a new file extension and how to make Seviio show it to Sony.
