Playing MKV embedded subtitles help?

Hi,

I have Serviio 1.3 and a Sony BDV-E490. Can anyone help me to get MKV embedded subtitles to work? I can select the option if I play through VLC player but on my Blu-Ray player they don't load and nothing happens when I select the subtitle option.

What is your serviio console subtitles settings?
What is the size of your mkv file ?
Where did you store your mkv file, on a local hard drive, or a remote (network) drive ?

All the below are ticked :

Enable Subtitles
Enable extraction of subtitles embedded in video files
Enable burned in subitles - Always

MKV file size is 4.73gb

Stored on a local hard drive running on the serviio console

You have to set a preferred language like "en,eng,english" or "fr,fre,french", then the subtitle character encoding should be the same than UTF-8

After that, you can try to enable detailed logging, and check on log how serviio will process your mkv file.
