KDL-42W670A Playback Problems

Hi,

I have searched for the solution but, possibly due to frustration, cannot see the forest for the trees.

I have transcoding enabled and I am running the Sony Bravia TV (2012) profile.

Some files play. Some do not. I can only put it down to video resolution but I don't know. I am very frustrated.

Here is the ffmpeg output of a file that works. It is played in the wrong aspect ratio but at least it plays.

Here is the ffmpeg output of a file that works. It is played in the wrong aspect ratio but at least it plays.

This file is delivered in native format, so nothing to do for aspect ratio. For this particular file, you can select the 2010 Bravia profile on serviio concole (then this file will be transcoded)

Here is the ffmpeg output of a file that won't play.

That could be due to a bad avi container format, or something on video/audio track that your device does not support.
You can also try with 2010 Bravia profile selected.

Neither file will play using the 2010 Bravia profile selected.

I definitely have transcoding enabled.
