Sony KDL-50R550A 2013

I just purchased a Sony KDL-50R550A and it won't access Serviio. It see's it on my network . Serviio gives it a generic dlna profile. But that's where it ends. "The server is not accessible". ?

Any suggestions about this , am I missing something .

Did you try creating a new Sony 2013 profile, see viewtopic.php?f=11&t=11147#p72112, or assigning one of the existing Sony Bravia 2012 profiles?

For now manually set the Sony 2012 profile and just confirm its all working ok ?

This is an other 2013 model (probably same than W6, W8, W9 series).

Could you provide formats supported by your device (see my signature link) ?
What is your country, UK, US ?

OK,

With 2012 profile, that should work, but all your mkv will be transcoded where you could deliver them in native format.

There is a 2013 profile under contruction here, mkv will be delivered in native format.

Btw, that could be fine if you can confirm formats supported by your device (see my signature link) ?

Both Serviio come up in the tv. But Serviio gets to 98% and stalls. I have 2 other sony tvs and serviio still works great on it.

I did add the 2013 profile that i found here viewtopic.php?f=11&t=11147#p72112 but still same result.

Hope someone can help. I'm surprised there are not more users with this model.

Do you try with the 2012 profile (you can select it on serviio console) ?

EDIT: could you confirm, it is an US model ? it seems that DLNA supported format are same than 2012 models : http://www.docs.sony.com/release/KDL-R520A_R550A.pdf

Files from a network device need to be in the following formats:
– Still images: JPEG
– Music: MP3, linear PCM, WMA
– Video: AVCHD, MPEG2, MPEG1, MP4 (AVC), MP4 (MPEG4), WMV

this KDL series seem to be an issue , anyone have a working profile for this , what seems to be so different from the other models Sony has put out. (last SONY I Buy).

I was wondering if there is a working profile for this tv or in the works? I tried the beta with bad results. I use a 2012 profile and all my thumbnails are blank which makes it hard to pick a movie. Anyone have better results ,please let me know .. Thanks...

Thumbnails blank is strange, this is the same behaviour than Sony BDP players.
Could you try to select "BDP 2012 profile" on serviio console?
Then, with Intel UPnP tools (Device Spy), could you provide the Device XML (rigth click on device) ?
