[SOLVED] "File is Corrupt"

Hi - I replied to an old post with this issue, but no one responded, so I thought I'd give it another shot.

I have a BDV-S570. Some videos play great with Serviio, but for others it refuses to play them and says "File is corrupt or not supported." It seems like the files that don't play are "DivX 5" per MediaInfo, while those that do play are "XviD" - but I didn't check all of the files.

Any help would be appreciated. File info pasted below.

Re: "File is Corrupt"

Don't know if it is the same issue but it is likely as I have a BDP-S480 and can't play divx via dlna, whether it be serviio or Windows 7. The same files play fine locally on disk or USB.
When I did a bit of digging there are loads of posts on the likes of avsforum and on the sony forums that say it was due to a licensing issue that divx over dlna was unsupported, but apparently sony were sorting it out, and it would be resolved with a future firmware update. I'll not be holding my breath on that one.
Its not a great issue for me though as I convert most divx files to xvid which works fine.
So basically I think that your issue is likely with your player rather than serviio, hope that is of some help.

Re: "File is Corrupt"

I have the s480, any divx files I have problems with then simply change the codec to xvid in both fields using avi fourcc changer. A very simple fast solution.
