PS3 Wont Play Any MKV

Hi All

Firstly I am loving Serviio, what a great product. Only slight problem is that I cant play any .MKV, almost certainly an issue with my setup though not with the product!

I have tried 7 or 8 different MKVs and each time I get 'The date type is not supported'. I can play AVIs without issue. I have tried remuxing one of the MKVs as a test to see if it was the header issue but that didnt resolve it, and it would seem odd to me (although I am new to this transcoding/remuxing wizardry) that all my MKVs suffer the same issue.

Has anyone got any thoughts, I have set the device to use the PS3 Profile FYI.

I think there were some problem to remux DTS audio. Could you try to remux this mkv to mpegts with TsMuxer tool for testing ?

More than happy to try this. I have downloaded the tsMuxer Tool, In terms of file output choices, I get 'TS Muxing', 'M2TS muxing', 'Bluray disk','AVCHD Disk' and 'Demux', I am after the first choice, correct? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick ?!

I think "M2TS" output file is the best, "TS Muxing" is another solution.

Sorry for the delayed reply! Have been out and about for work the past few days. I am re-muxing now and will try with the PS3 tonite, and I will let you know how this goes!

Good and Bad News!!! I can now play the file and I have video, but I dont have any audio now! Still, its a step closer than before!
